Yes, OneShare is ACA exempt. Effective January 1, 2019 federal individual mandates are no longer enforced. However, numerous states have already implemented state individual mandates for healthcare.

Members help pay each other’s medical expenses through OneShare Health’s medical sharing programs. Monthly membership contributions provide the sharing power behind our medical sharing programs.
1. Provider or member submits medical bills to OneShare Health.
2. OneShare Health determines eligibility of the medical bill submission based on member guidelines.
3. All approved medical bills are normally shared on average of fourteen days - either directly paid to the provider or reimbursed to the member.

No, OneShare has open enrollment 365 days a year. We also provide next day, effective day sharing services.

The Member can choose their Post Date and Effective Date. They can have next day activation if the date is between the 1st-28th of the month. Members can be enrolled up to 60 days in advance. Note: The Post Date must occur prior to the Effective Date.

No not currently. The Primary Member must be at least 18 years of age.

Yes, tobacco use of any kind will result in an additional $60 a month.

Yes, if a member has been tobacco free for 12 consecutive months. Members must show proof from a Doctor or complete a smoking cessation class.

Yes. However, there are three variables that can affect pricing.
• If a member changes programs/tier.
• For families of 6 or more, $45 per additional member per month will be applied.
• If a member uses tobacco in any form, there is an additional $60 per member per month applied.

No, pricing is the same nationwide.

Yes, $25 is tax deductible.

Yes, one program change is allowed per program year, with no application fee. Any additional program change within the program year will include an application fee. The Producer or Member must submit a Program Change Form. Upon approval, this will result in a new Effective Date with all sharing services starting over.

Yes, Members can cancel at any time. Within the first 30 days of a new Member’s Effective Date, the Member is entitled to a full refund, including the one-time application fee. After the first 30 days, a refund for the most recently paid period may be processed if the request is submitted within 10 days of their scheduled billing date. Refunds will be processed as a credit to the same card or account provided for billing. Requests involving refunds payable by check may take up to 30 business days.

There is a five (5) year lookback for cancer. Pre-existing or reoccurring cancers will never be eligible for sharing. The lifetime maximum sharing for cancer is $500,000.

There is a 24-month lookback and a 24-month waiting period. Primary Care Physician, Specialist, Labs and Urgent Care visits are eligible under chronic maintenance on the Classic and Complete programs.

Complete Program Only:
• Basic: 24/24 Pre-existing condition limitation.
• Enhanced: Sharing is eligible up to $10,000 after the ISA has doubled.

Before enrolling, a member can check if their physician or specialist is in network by visiting https://www.multiplan.com/. Note: Members should always reference PHCS when making an appointment or speaking with a doctor.

On the Complete Program only, Out-of-Network sharing services are available. If a life threatening situation, services rendered would be eligible for sharing up to the maximum limit per incident.

Yes, time accrued, paid for current program year will be honored. Members must show proof of prior HealthShare participation.
