In his "early years" Stan was a high school teacher and basketball coach. He then coached at the collegiate level for 10 years and was affiliated with three different college programs.

After his coaching years, Stan joined Mass Mutual as an estate planner in Hartford, CT - which at that time was the Insurance City Capital of the World. After a year and a half as a carrier agent, Stan and his business partner started a brokerage firm called Professional Business Insurers.  In 1995, he sold his interest in the business and moved to Arizona in order to live near his wife's family.

Once established in Arizona, Stan secured the necessary licenses and established Pelcher Insurance - his own insurance brokerage firm in AZ.

Pelcher Insurance focuses on annuities, disability, health, life and long-term care products.
